Required Skills:
4+ years of hands-on structured cabling experience Advanced experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting both copper and fiber cabling Strong knowledge of Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A Experience routing cable through conduit, cable tray, above ceilings, between floors, and other pathways Ability to properly terminate, label, test, and document cabling installations Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex cabling issues Experience with communications and low-voltage systems, including access control, security, AV, and other related systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead and perform the installation, termination, testing, repair, and maintenance of copper and fiber-optic structured cabling systems Install cabling through conduit, cable tray, above ceilings, between floors, and other designated pathways according to project specifications Terminate and test copper and fiber connections to ensure proper performance and compliance with project requirements Troubleshoot complex cabling and connectivity issues and determine appropriate corrective actions Communicate project status, technical issues, and resolutions accurately and professionally to customers and management Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to prevent future problems #
