! Job description ITPIGroup, Inc., is a communication, consulting, and design company serving the dynamic and sophisticated needs of the Fiber, Wireless, Energy. We are rapidly growing as we expand our field operations and support teams to meet market demand. We are burying telecommunications cables to residential properties, commonly called "drops." Our success is driven by individuals who take ownership of their position and duties in a fast-paced environment. We would love for you to join our team! Job Purpose We are looking for a reliable 1099 contractor, this position support of our customers to repair Duke Pole Violations and for fiber drop cables to single-family, multi-family, and or commercial customers. This is accomplished by climbing the pole, removing old drops and rerouting new ones. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Fiber Optic Installation and Aerial work. Looking for : Individuals with a driver's license and truck. Preferred (but not necessary) experience performing Fiber Optic Installation and Aerial drops. (fiber splicing experience is a plus) The ability to learn quickly and self-manage different situations that may arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive list of poles to work, and plan accordingly. Remove, reroute drops from poles. Take photos and appropriate notes to Submit into system. Review all requested and existing services with the customer before installation of new drop. Work to complete necessary tasks as assigned. Responsible for damages. Qualifications Must have at least one (1) year of full-time experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or Aerial Pole repair. Ability to carry and climb a 28+ foot ladder. Ability to work the schedule Monday - Friday. Strong verbal and written communication ability Ability to work independently or as a team player. Valid driver's license needed. Required to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels. Tech is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Must have a truck or van that can be used for work.
