Job Description Job Description We're hiring Cable Technicians to support a long-term data center project in Michigan City, IN. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team working on fiber, network, and low-voltage systems in a commercial/industrial environment. About the Company Insight Globals Client is a Milwaukee-based IT and technology solutions provider specializing in networking, security, and low-voltage infrastructure. Founded in 2008, the company designs, installs, and maintains systems including structured cabling, network infrastructure, security cameras, and access control. Their team supports clients with hands-on installation and ongoing technical services, focusing on reliable network performance and high-quality project execution.
Responsibilities:
Install and terminate fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5/6, fiber connections) Support network infrastructure including cameras, switches, and firewall systems Run, route, label, and test cabling in a data center environment Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues Utilize basic hand tools (drills, etc.) safely and effectively Follow PPE and OSHA safety standards on site Work closely with a team to complete daily project goals We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Requirements:
Experience in commercial or industrial cabling environments (data center experience is a plus) Familiarity with networking equipment (switches, firewalls, cameras) Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required Ability to pass background check and drug test Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement may be available) Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
