Field-Based (Within a 60-mile radius of your location) About the Role IT Inspirations is seeking highly motivated, fast-learning individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Field Technicians. We specialize in commercial structured cabling, network equipment deployment, and low-voltage telecommunications. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn the trade and can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. Experience is not required. What matters most is your availability, your drive to learn, and your ability to work independently. This is a field-based, work-alone position—not a team role. Once trained, you will be traveling from site to site, executing commercial cabling and networking projects on your own. The Training Program & Expectations This position begins with an intensive, part-time, two-week training period designed to get you field-ready.
Fast-Paced Evaluation:
You will be evaluated heavily during the first week. If you are unable to keep up with the pace or demonstrate the required technical retention by the end of week one, we will mutually part ways.
Two-Week Timeline:
By the end of the two-week training program, you are expected to be fully prepared to complete work orders and technical installations entirely on your own. What You Will Be Doing Traveling independently to various commercial facilities within a 60-mile radius of your home base. Pulling, routing, and installing low-voltage cables in commercial environments. Terminating cables and testing network connections. Setting up and deploying network equipment based on provided digital schematics and instructions. Managing your own time and troubleshooting on-site issues independently. Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Personal Reliable Vehicle:
You must have your own reliable transportation to travel between multiple job sites daily, both during your training and after.
Personal Laptop/PC:
You must have a portable laptop to bring on the go to access digital instructions, schematics, and work orders in the field.
Travel Radius:
Willingness to travel up to 60 miles in any direction for daily assignments.
Basic Starter Tool Kit:
You must have the following fundamental tools to begin training: Punch down tool Cable tester Power drill Standard small hand tools (screwdrivers, snips, wire strippers, etc.) Helpful Skills & Qualifications (Preferred, Not Required) While we are willing to train the right person from scratch, the following skills will give you a significant advantage and help you succeed faster in this role: Basic familiarity with cabling technology, low-voltage wiring, or basic IT/networking concepts. Comfort operating power tools safely and efficiently. Strong independent problem-solving skills and the ability to figure things out without immediate supervision. Physical stamina and comfort working in varied commercial environments, including using ladders or navigating tight spaces. Excellent time management and the discipline to stay on task while working alone.
