Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of communication, security, and data systems, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions. As a leader in the field, you will guide a team of technicians, coordinate complex projects, and uphold safety standards while exceeding client expectations. Duties Lead and supervise a team of low voltage technicians during installation, maintenance, and repair projects for communication and security systems Install, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring including structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6), fiber optic systems, Ethernet networks, and telecommunication cabling Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system installations and repairs Conduct fiber splicing, cable termination, and equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and telecommunications testing equipment Perform network installation tasks such as configuring Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, and VoIP telephony solutions Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols during all project phases Provide exceptional customer service by communicating technical information clearly to clients and resolving issues efficiently Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low-voltage electrical systems with a strong background in telecommunications or data center environments Extensive knowledge of CCTV systems, fiber optic splicing, Ethernet networking, radio frequency (RF) testing, and structured cabling installation Proficiency with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and network wiring practices Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, power tools, hand tools, and telecommunication testing equipment Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately; familiarity with communication system installation standards like NEC is essential Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of technicians; excellent customer service orientation Electrical experience with AC/DC systems; knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring codes is required Valid certifications in telecommunications or electrical work are preferred; prior experience working with Avaya or similar telephony platforms is advantageous Join us as a Lead Low Voltage Technician to drive innovative projects forward while leading a talented team dedicated to excellence.
