Overview Join the team of Lake Minnetonka's #1 highest-rated Internet Service Provider. This work primarily involves installation of internet services in homes, apartment buildings, and commercial properties in the Lake Minnetonka area and west metro, with IT/cable work sometimes downtown. Paid on-the-job training is provided as needed depending on the applicant's existing skillset. This position is open to those with proficient hardware knowledge OR software/networking/technical knowledge with training provided for both avenues so long as the applicant is willing to learn both the software/hardware end of installation. Lakeside Networks is also a Unifi/Ubiquiti installer installing access points, switching, VoIP, etc within businesses. This position is open to grow into a full-time Lead Installation Technician position with the potential for partial ownership. This position is also open to those with a sales background willing to work on installations. You will not be thrown into solo installations right away, and will work directly alongside ownership at installations whilst learning the process. We are far from a generic, 'soul-less' corporation. With this job being part-time, you are of course welcome to work another job so long as it does not conflict with your work here. Responsibilities Attend work in-person on a timely basis 2-4 days a week. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to perform tasks such as mounting a receiver to rooftops/sides of buildings, installing internet services in apartments, and install networking equipment at properties. Measure dimensions precisely with tape measures and other tools as needed Provision subscriber equipment Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality; document progress through reports and logs. Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, professionalism, and clear communication. Skills Comfortable being hands-on or prior background in cable installations Basic understanding of computers, CRMs to set up subscriber equipment Basic knowledge of using hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), and ladders safely. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for precise fitting Ability to maintain a clean installation schedule and eventually lead a crew (Leadership, if applicant's initial position grows into lead installation tech) Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism on-site. Good communication with business leadership. College students welcome as long as they can commit to a 2 full-day a week (flexible) schedule and are willing to drive to work in Spring Park, MN.
