Our Communications Division is actively seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Access Control/CCTV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of electronic security systems in commercial and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test cabling for access control, CCTV, intrusion, and related low‑voltage systems Mount and install security hardware including cameras, card readers, door strikes, maglocks, panels, and power supplies Program and configure access control and video management systems under the direction of a lead technician Label and document installed devices, cabling, and system configurations accurately Pull cable through walls, ceilings, conduit, and riser shafts Assist with troubleshooting and repairing access control and video systems Follow project drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and job site instructions Ensure all work complies with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and local codes Maintain a clean and safe work environment Work effectively as part of a team under the supervision of a lead technician or foreman Qualifications 1+ years of experience in access control, CCTV, low‑voltage, or structured cabling preferred, not required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and door hardware schedules Familiarity with tools such as punch‑down tools, cable testers, fish tape, drills, and basic hand tools Basic knowledge of low‑voltage wiring standards and security system components Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new systems Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, etc.) or BICSI certifications are a plus but not required Working Conditions Work performed on active construction sites, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities May require lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods Occasional travel to job sites may be required Why Work for Bill's Electric Inc Competitive pay based on experience Health Insurance 401K & Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) Vacation & Holiday Pay including personal PTO days Apprenticeship programs provided through the company
