We are seeking motivated Structured Cabling Technicians to join our growing Field Services team. The Structured Cabling Technician (VFT) plays a vital role in designing, installing, and maintaining high-quality cabling solutions for diverse client needs. In this role, you'll travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling and telecommunications equipment. You'll work directly with internal support teams and customers to ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This Position Is for
You If You:
Enjoy traveling and are willing to travel up to 95% , including consecutive overnight stays. Are comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Have experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques. Have excellent customer service and communication skills. Enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and adapting to new challenges. Can work independently while utilizing remote technical support. Have experience installing, terminating, and tracing structured cabling, including Cat5, Cat6, Coaxial , and other low-voltage cabling. Are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of consistent work experience . Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to obtain aerial lift certifications. Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently on a repetitive basis. Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools. Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred. Willingness to travel 95% nationwide , including extended overnight travel. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling, field services, telecommunications, or a related technical field. At least 1 year of low-voltage cabling experience . Experience working in commercial environments performing cable installation and equipment deployment. Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians is a plus.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
