Our Low Voltage division works with technology systems that help make homes and businesses safer, smarter, and more connected. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. Position Overview The Low Voltage Technician will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and service a variety of low voltage systems for residential and commercial customers. This position is a great opportunity for someone with experience in structured cabling, networking, security, audio/video, automation (Savant), access control, or other low voltage systems. We are also willing to consider candidates with strong electrical, construction, technology, or hands-on technical experience who are eager to learn the low voltage industry. Key Responsibilities Install and terminate low voltage cabling and wiring Install structured cabling systems for data, telecommunications, and networking Install security cameras and surveillance systems Install access control and related security systems Install audio/video and home technology systems Assist with smart home and automation installations Install equipment, racks, cabinets, devices, and related hardware Pull, route, label, and organize low voltage cable Troubleshoot low voltage systems and identify installation issues Read and interpret plans, drawings, and installation instructions Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations Follow proper cable management and labeling standards per code Communicate job progress and issues with project managers Work professionally with customers, general contractors, and other trades Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Safely operate company vehicles, tools, ladders, and equipment Properly document completed work Programming and system design Demo and training for the customers Take ownership of assigned work and complete projects to company standards Opportunity for sales and commissions. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Structured cabling Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A Fiber optic cabling Network infrastructure Wi-Fi/networking Security cameras / CCTV Access control Intrusion/security systems Audio/video systems Home theater Smart home technology Home automation Savant or other automation platforms Commercial low voltage installations Residential technology installations Electrical or telecommunications work Qualifications Previous low voltage, electrical, telecommunications, networking, or construction experience preferred Strong mechanical and technical aptitude Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to read plans, drawings, and installation instructions Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to safely lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various jobsite conditions Professional communication skills Strong attention to detail What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Takes pride in clean, professional installations Shows up on time and ready to work Pays attention to details Is comfortable learning new technology Can troubleshoot rather than simply install Communicates issues early Takes ownership of their work Treats customers and their property with respect Works safely Is dependable and willing to grow with the company Experience is valuable, but attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
