Security Technician Location :
Charlotte, NC Pay :
$18-$26 Contract to hire Access Control Install, terminate, and troubleshoot: Electric strikes, maglocks, REX devices, door position switches, and card readers Access control panels, power supplies, and enclosure hardware Experience pulling, labeling, dressing, and terminating
CAT6/CAT6A , 18/2 , 18/4
, and multi-conductor cabling. Ability to interpret access control riser diagrams, door schedules, wiring schematics, and submittal packages. Familiarity with major platforms (HID, Brivo, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, Honeywell, Avigilon, etc.). Video Surveillance Install and configure IP cameras, NVR/VMS systems, switches, and network components.
Experience with:
Camera aiming/focusing Network cabling and PoE equipment Mounting hardware (surface, pendant, pole, junction box setups) Working knowledge of Milestone, Hanwha Wisenet, Avigilon, Axis, or similar VMS platforms. Ability to work with IT teams to configure network settings (IP addressing, VLANs, camera registration). General Low-Voltage Skills Proficient in pulling cable in ceilings, conduit, J-hooks, cable trays, and underground pathways. Termination and testing of copper cabling per TIA standards. Ability to use basic testing equipment: LAN testers, tone & probe, multimeter, POE testers, continuity testers. Experience installing and dressing rack equipment, patch panels, and structured cabling systems.
