Job Description

About the Role We're looking for an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee installations, service, and troubleshooting across a wide range of low‑voltage systems. This role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership, job planning, and quality control. The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver who takes pride in clean, reliable work and can guide a crew to deliver projects on time and to spec. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of low‑voltage technicians on job sites Install, terminate, and test low‑voltage cabling (Cat5e/6/6A, fiber, coax) Install and service security, access control, CCTV, Structured Cabling, audio/video, and network systems Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and scope documents Coordinate with project managers, GCs, and clients to ensure smooth workflow Perform quality checks, document work, and maintain safety standards Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical guidance to the team Manage materials, tools, and job‑site readiness Required Qualifications 4-7+ years of low‑voltage installation experience Strong knowledge of cabling standards, testing procedures, and industry best practices Experience leading crews or acting as a senior technician Ability to operate test equipment (Fluke, OTDR, certifiers) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts as needed Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Willing to Travel Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as
BICSI, OSHA
10/30, manufacturer training, or NICET Experience with enterprise‑level security or network systems • Must be able to pass a background check•
