Level I Cable Technicians QPS Employment Group 17.00 United States, North Carolina, Durham Sep 01, 2026 Structured Cabling Technician Raleigh / Durham, NC $17-$22/hr Join Next Level Technician as a Structured Cabling Technician in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area! Earn $17-$22/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and the opportunity to grow your career with a national leader in low voltage staffing. We're looking for motivated technicians who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career in the low voltage industry. Responsibilities Pull, route, dress, and label CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A cabling Terminate data jacks, patch panels, and network devices Assist with installation of MDF/IDF rooms, racks, cabinets, cable tray, ladder rack, and J-hooks Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testing equipment Read and interpret basic blueprints, floor plans, and cable layouts Maintain clean cable management and professional installation standards Assist with fiber optic installations as needed Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active commercial construction sites Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety requirements Requirements 0-2+ years of commercial structured cabling or low voltage experience Basic knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling and installation practices Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work in commercial construction environments and at heights when required Basic hand tools and PPE required Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial construction or electrical work Fiber optic experience is a plus OSHA 10 certification BICSI certification or training Lift certification Why Work with Next Level Technician in Raleigh / Durham, NC?
