Fiber Technician Utilities One Inc Omaha, NE Job Details Contract $150 - $500 a day 14 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience In-person customer service Ladder use Full Job Description Fiber Installation & Repair Technician - Quantum Fiber Omaha, NE | Local Work | High Work Volume | Immediate Openings We are currently looking for 3 experienced Fiber/Cable Technicians to join our team supporting Quantum Fiber projects in the Omaha area. This is local work with a high volume of orders. We are looking to fill the remaining positions as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Complete fiber internet installation visits Perform trouble call / repair visits Troubleshoot fiber and customer connectivity issues Run and install fiber cable drops when needed Install and verify customer equipment and service Perform inside and outside installation work Maintain professional communication with customers Complete required job documentation and photos

Requirements:

Previous cable, telecom, or fiber installation experience

REQUIRED

Fiber experience strongly preferred Must have your own reliable vehicle Vehicle must be capable of safely transporting a 28-ft extension ladder Must be comfortable working both inside and outside customer homes Must be able to troubleshoot installation and service issues independently Must be reliable and able to handle a high daily work volume Professional attitude and good customer service skills Cable/Fiber technicians with previous field experience will be given priority. This is not an entry-level position.

Compensation & Pay Structure:

1099 Independent Contractor position Piece-rate / production-based pay — the more completed work orders you successfully complete, the more you earn Very competitive technician rates No fixed hourly limit — earnings are based on completed production First payment is issued during the 4th week of work After the initial payment cycle, payments continue according to the regular company payment schedule
