We are seeking a Software Engineer II
- Full-Stack API & Workflow Engineer to build the services and tools that power Ensemble 2.
0. This mid-level role works across ASP.NET Core APIs, SQL Server-backed workflows, partner integrations, legacy system analysis, and migration activities supporting the application. You will independently deliver well-scoped features, collaborate with senior engineering and architecture on design questions, and help translate operational requirements into clear, tested, and maintainable software.

Ensemble Product Owner Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. + 3+ years of professional software development experience building APIs, internal tools, integration features, or business workflow applications.
+ Working experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern object-oriented software development practices.
+ Experience with SQL and relational databases, including joins, data updates, troubleshooting, and application-to-database interactions; SQL Server experience is strongly relevant.
+ Experience building or consuming REST APIs using
JSON, HTTP
methods and status codes, validation, and authentication.
+ Familiarity with Vue, React, Angular, or comparable frontend frameworks. Frontend development is a secondary component of this role.
+ Experience writing unit, integration, or API-level automated tests.
+ Familiarity with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and iterative delivery practices.
+ Ability to deliver well-scoped work independently, raise design questions early, and document technical behavior clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with SQL Server stored procedures, transactions, query performance, and data-integrity constraints.
+ Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, or related Microsoft platform tooling.
+ Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and test tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Vitest, xUnit, or comparable frameworks.
+ Experience integrating with third-party APIs, webhooks, message-based workflows, CSV files, or scheduled file imports.
+ Experience investigating legacy applications, documenting existing system behavior, and supporting incremental migration efforts. Exposure to Node.js, Vue, JavaScript, or TypeScript environments is beneficial but not required.
+ Experience supporting data-intensive business systems, integrations, or migration initiatives. Industry-specific experience is a plus but not required.
+ Experience building internal support tools or improving application logging and operational visibility.

+ Build and maintain ASP.NET Core API endpoints, request and response models, services, validation rules, and workflow components.
+ Develop SQL queries and application data access that support reliable, auditable business workflows.
+ Maintain and extend the existing Vue-based administrative and support interfaces as required to support migration objectives.
+ Map and process partner payloads for projects, milestones, invoices, credits, remittance activity, and related integration data.
+ Write unit, integration, API contract, and regression tests as part of feature delivery.
+ Troubleshoot defects using logs, API payloads, database records, test results, and support reports.
+ Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions; incorporate feedback and contribute implementation ideas.
+ Collaborate with Product and QA to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and test scenarios before development is complete.
+ Document API behavior, field mappings, implementation decisions, test cases, and support or troubleshooting procedures.

Veteran Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $105000 to $125000 annually.
