• Full-time Structured Cabling Technician Demarc Telecom and Utility LLC Job Summary Demarc Telecom is seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Technician with 3-5 years of experience in copper network installations.

This is a hands-on role for a technician proficient in the full installation lifecycle—from pathway construction and J-hooks to final trim and certification. You will build out server racks and ensure all infrastructure meets the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Copper Installation:

Professional installation and termination of Cat 6 cabling, patch panels, and jacks.

Infrastructure & Racks:

Build out server racks, cabinets, and MDF/IDF closets.

Pathways:

Install J-hooks and cable support systems; conduit bending skills are highly valued.

Testing & Certification:

Perform certification testing (Fluke or similar) and complex troubleshooting of cabling systems.

Field Safety:

Work safely from ladders and operate motorized lifts (scissor/boom) in various job site conditions.

Product Standards:

Utilize knowledge of CommScope and Siemon products to deliver manufacturer-grade results.

Qualifications Experience:

3-5 years of dedicated experience in structured cabling and copper network installation.

Technical Precision:

Expert-level termination of Cat 6 hardware.

Physical Ability:

Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Blueprints:

Ability to read and follow floor plans and T-drawings. Preferred "Plus"

Skills Fiber Optics:

Experience with Fiber Optic termination (LC/SC/ST) and testing (OTDR/Power Meter) is a significant plus.

Security:

Experience with CCTV or Access Control systems.

Conduit:
