• Security Cameras, Access Control, Audio & Technology We are looking for a reliable, technically minded Low Voltage Technician to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, mechanically inclined, organized, tech-savvy, and a strong problem solver . We are looking for someone who can understand the goal of a project, follow company standards, think critically, troubleshoot problems, and complete clean, professional installations. Systems You May Work With Security camera / CCTV systems NVR and DVR systems Access control systems Door strikes, magnetic locks, keypads and card readers Commercial sound and speaker systems Network and Wi-Fi equipment Cat5e / Cat6 cabling Low-voltage wiring Alarm and security equipment Intercom systems POS and technology equipment Routers, switches and network hardware Other residential and commercial technology systems Responsibilities Install, service and troubleshoot low-voltage systems Run, terminate, test, label and organize low-voltage cabling Install cameras, speakers, access-control equipment and related devices Properly mount equipment to drywall, masonry, concrete, wood, metal and other surfaces Understand how to select and install the correct anchors, screws, fasteners and mounting hardware for the application Install equipment securely and professionally Understand weight, mounting location and surface conditions before installing equipment Configure devices, networks, mobile applications and software Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, networking and installation problems Perform quality-control checks before completing every project Verify that all equipment is properly mounted, connected, configured and functioning Follow company installation standards, procedures and protocols Keep tools, equipment, vehicles and job sites organized Document completed work using photos, notes and company applications Communicate professionally with customers before, during and after installations Explain basic system operation to customers Identify additional customer needs or upgrade opportunities when appropriate Coordinate with management and other technicians Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Tool & Installation Knowledge Technicians should be comfortable knowing which tool to use for the job , rather than relying on constant instruction. This includes familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn: Drills and impact drivers Hammer drills Masonry and concrete bits Step bits and hole saws Fish tape and fish rods Cable testers Crimping and termination tools RJ45 termination Punch-down tools Multimeters and basic testing equipment Levels and measuring tools Ladders Anchors and mounting hardware Drywall anchors Toggle bolts Concrete and masonry anchors Tapcon-style fasteners Wood screws and structural fasteners Proper mounting techniques for different surfaces You should be able to look at a wall, ceiling, structure or mounting location and determine how to safely and securely install the equipment . Requirements Valid driver's license iPhone required for company applications, communication, documentation and job-site photos Comfortable using mobile apps and technology Comfortable using hand and power tools Comfortable working with ladders Ability to safely lift and carry tools, ladders and equipment Ability to work at residential and commercial locations Good verbal communication skills Professional appearance and attitude Reliable and punctual Must be able to follow company procedures and quality-control standards Previous experience with low voltage, electrical, networking, IT, construction, security cameras, access control, alarms, audio/video, telecommunications or similar technical work is preferred. However, we are also interested in candidates who may not have years of formal low-voltage experience but are extremely handy, technically capable, quick learners and strong problem solvers.
