Job Summary EMTECH is seeking Low Voltage Technicians at multiple experience levels, ranging from entry-level Helpers to experienced Foremen. Position level and responsibilities will be based on each candidate's knowledge, experience, technical abilities, and leadership skills. Team members may assist with or lead the installation of low-voltage control systems, conduit, wire, cable, network cabling, and related equipment. This position may require travel and extended assignments at project locations. Key Responsibilities Depending on experience and assigned position, responsibilities may include: Assist with or perform the installation of low-voltage control wiring, conduit, cable tray, Cat6, and fiber-optic cabling. Pull, label, route, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring and cable. Install devices, control panels, junction boxes, supports, and related equipment. Read and follow construction drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and project instructions. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment safely. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Identify installation issues and communicate project needs to field leadership. Track materials, tools, completed work, and labor as required. Follow EMTECH safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable codes and standards. Support project schedules, quality expectations, and productivity goals. Experienced candidates may direct crews, coordinate daily work, monitor progress, plan material needs, perform quality checks, and communicate with project management and other trades. Qualifications Experience requirements vary by position; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Low-voltage, electrical, controls, BAS, data center, structured cabling, or construction experience is preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely. Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams is preferred for experienced positions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Leadership experience is preferred for Lead and Foreman-level positions. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required. Ability and willingness to travel based on project needs. Ability to work overtime, weekends, or extended schedules when required. ES-3 License, preferred EE-98 License, preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment typically weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in active construction environments for extended periods. Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated areas. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
