Description The Communications Technician must be able to perform the technical responsibilities of a Technician and function as a lead member of a technical team. Positions are for 1st (7am-6pm) and 2nd (1pm-10pm). They would like candidates to be flexible as they fill shifts as they are available. Looking for Tech I and II's who have Structured Cabling experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Pull, dress, and label cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) according to TIA/EIA standards Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance Assist in labeling and cable identification Perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) under supervision Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic handling Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors The Communications Technician will work in a Construction environment. The Communications Technician will fully complete all

paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required). The Communications Technician will adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations. The Communications Technician will complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

The Communications Technician must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s). The Communications Technician must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. The Communications Technician must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s). The Communications Technician must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). The Communications Technician must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. The Communications Technician must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. The Communications Technician must be able to travel within the branch territory as needed. Regular attendance is mandatory. Tools will be provided.
