08 - 180813 cc A growing communications company is seeking Cable Technicians for immediate opportunities. You will install 5 and 6 fiber optic low voltage cables for business, commercial, and industrial facilities. A good portion of what they do is on a scissor or boom lift. In addition, we install network/server racks, overhead cable ladder trays, conduit and surface raceway, numerous cables in buildings for phones, computers, wireless Wi-Fi antennas, cameras, doors, intercoms and overhead paging. A typical workday is 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; however, the workday will end when the job is completed. Qualified candidates must have commercial experience installing 5 and 6 fiber optic cables, must have a mechanical aptitude, must have a valid drivers' license with no more than 4 points, must be able to work independently, and must be dependable. Only candidates that can pass a BMV check will be considered. Any applicant that has experience in terminating/splicing and testing fiber optic cables, installing any racks, ladder trays, conduit, surface raceway, Wireless Access Points or Security Cameras, overhead paging, sound systems, or access control including proximity readers, door controllers, electric strikes, magnetic locks or door intercoms, or operating a scissor lift is a huge plus.
