CCTV / Network Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to join our dynamic security solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing surveillance systems and security equipment across various sites. Responsibilities Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, and related security hardware in accordance with system design schematics and client specifications Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on surveillance systems, fire alarms, access controls, and low voltage electrical components Troubleshoot system issues using remote access software, schematics, and diagnostic tools; resolve hardware or connectivity problems efficiently Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical installation of security systems utilizing hand tools and power tools to ensure secure and compliant setups Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; provide on-site service support and training on system operation and remote access features Document installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities accurately in service records Stay updated on industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements and emerging security technologies like IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in security systems, CCTV, or surveillance equipment Strong knowledge of computer networking, telecommunication systems, low voltage wiring, and electrical fundamentals Mechanical aptitude with experience handling hand tools, power tools, and construction-related tasks for system installation Familiarity with schematics, system design principles, sensors, fire alarm systems, locksmithing basics, and remote access software Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex security setups Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude towards customer service in field service environments Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed Preferred qualifications include experience with alarm system sales processes, knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations, familiarity with surveillance technology trends such as network video recorders (NVRs), security integration solutions, and telecommunication infrastructure.
