ONE-Comm is hiring fiber optic trainees for hyperscale data center work. No telecom experience required — we'll teach you the trade and pay you while you learn. This is a career path, not a temp gig. You'll start assisting splicers and running entry-level tasks inside the data center, and as your skills build you'll move into cable installation, termination, testing, and eventually splicing itself. Our plan is to convert trainees into full fiber splicers in roughly 9-14 months — and splicers on our crews earn considerably more than the starting wage. How fast you get there is mostly up to you. What you'll do — and learn: Fiber cable installation and routing inside data center environments Data cable termination, labeling, and testing Fiber-management and closure prep Assisting splicers and learning splicing hands-on Material handling and job site setup Reading splice prints and drawings The occasional OSP task when a job calls for it — but the bulk of your work is inside the facility What you need: Willingness to learn and take direction Reliability — show up on time, ready to work Valid driver's license Willing to travel 100% and work a 2-weeks-on / 1-week-off rotation Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Pay:

$18.50

•22.50/hour depending on what you bring, plus per diem, lodging, and travel covered when you're on the road.
