Job Description
We are looking for dependable Residential Cable Installers / Field Technicians to join our growing field operations team. This opportunity is ideal for technicians with cable, telecom, internet, fiber, or residential installation experience who enjoy hands-on work and interacting with customers. This is a 1099 independent contractor position involving residential service calls and installation work. What You'll Do As a Residential Cable Installer, you will travel to customers' homes to complete assigned installation and service orders.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Install and route coaxial and/or fiber cable for residential services
- Run cable from outside connection points into customers' homes
- Install, connect, and activate internet and related telecommunications equipment
- Use ladders safely when accessing exterior cable lines and connection points
- Test connections and troubleshoot basic service issues
- Make sure installations are completed neatly and according to required standards
- Explain basic equipment operation and services to customers
- Communicate with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding assigned jobs
- Complete required job documentation after each service call Candidate Qualifications We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Cable experience preferred — please be prepared to discuss the type of cable/telecom work you have performed and your length of experience
- Able to communicate in English at an intermediate/conversational level
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Valid Social Security Number (SSN)
- Comfortable performing physical field work and using ladders
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working directly with residential customers Vehicle Requirement Technicians should have a reliable work vehicle suitable for carrying tools, equipment, and materials.
Preferred vehicles include:
- Minivan
- Pickup truck
- SUV The vehicle should be white or light silver and suitable for daily field-service work.
Job Types:
Contract, Full-time Pay:
$1,200.00- $1,700.
