In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of communication, security, and data systems, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our clients' environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge telecommunications and networking technology, delivering exceptional service and technical solutions. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic systems, structured cabling, Ethernet networks, and telecommunication systems. Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and telecommunications testing equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately. Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to ensure high-quality connectivity for data transmission. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate precise system setup and repairs. Conduct network installation tasks involving Cat5, Cat6 cabling, cable termination, and equipment wiring for LAN (Local Area Network) setups. Test communication systems including VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya telephony systems, and radio frequency (RF) testing. Collaborate with clients on-site as a field service technician to deliver timely solutions while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Use power tools and hand tools safely during installation or repair projects while adhering to electrical safety protocols involving AC/DC electrical systems. Document all work performed thoroughly in service reports and logs to ensure accurate records of system configurations and repairs. Skills Extensive knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, fiber splicing techniques, structured cabling installation, and network wiring practices. Proficiency in computer networking concepts including Ethernet setup, network cabling, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, LAN configurations, and telecommunication systems. Experience with telephony technologies such as VoIP systems and traditional telephony hardware like Avaya equipment. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional on-site interaction. Familiarity with fiber optic systems installation along with fiber termination procedures for optimal data transmission quality. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring standards for telecommunications infrastructure projects. Competence in using power tools and hand tools safely during installation or repair activities in electrical or networking environments. Experience working with data centers or IT environments is a plus; familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment is highly desirable.
