Tele-Optics is now hiring a full-time Cable Installation Technician. Candidate will work on assigned locations, following instructions for the installation of low-voltage network cabling. Potential employee must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and can demonstrate ability to work independently or as part of a team environment. This individual is responsible for the installation of materials and meeting manufacturer guidelines, following instructions from their assigned Lead Tech. This individual must be able to read/follow blueprints and understand the installation process guidelines. Job specifications/skills

• High school diploma / GED preferred
• Dependable
• able to use all power and hand tools
• Manufacturer certifications (Corning and Belden/CDT) a strong plus
• 1-3 years installation a strong plus
• Understanding

ANSI/EWTIA

standards and NEC a strong plus

• Ability to learn, follow detailed instructions, and present well on customer sites
• Must have oral and written communication skills
• Must have a valid drivers license preferred
• BICSI installer credentials Preferred
• This individual has some knowledge of

ANSI/EWTIA

standards and NEC codes. Preferred

• some knowledge using a Level III cable tester. Preferred
• This individual has a working knowledge on the installation of cable pathway supports such as: conduit (EMT and Rigid), cable runway, cable tray, racks, wire managers (Vertical and Horizontal), J-Hooks, and wire basket supports.
