Pay:
25-35/hr We're looking for an experienced Security Technician who knows their way around access control, video surveillance, intrusion, intercom, and low-voltage infrastructure. This role is field-focused and ideal for someone who can take a job from rough-in to close-out with minimal oversight. You'll work on commercial systems across offices, schools, and state facilities. What You'll Do Install, program, and troubleshoot access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and intercom systems Run and terminate cabling, build out MDF/IDF spaces, and handle low-voltage wiring cleanly and professionally Commission devices, panels, and software platforms (LenelS2, Brivo, Avigilon, Bosch, Milestone, Salient, Hanwha, DNA Fusion, Aiphone, cloud systems) Diagnose system issues, replace hardware, and tune network settings for performance Read plans, specs, risers, and wiring diagrams to execute installations correctly Document work, update tickets, close service calls, and keep accurate notes Walk sites with customers, explain findings, and provide solution-focused recommendations Support project managers and service teams with field verification, testing, and punch lists What You Bring 2-5+ years in commercial security, low-voltage, telecom, or structured cabling Strong troubleshooting skills across access control, video surveillance, and intrusion panels Solid understanding of networking basics (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, switches) Ability to read drawings, follow scope, and deliver clean, code-compliant installs Experience with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and cabling best practices Comfortable working in attics, lifts, ladders, and active construction environments Good communication and customer-facing presence Valid driver license and reliable transportation Nice to Have Hands-on experience with multiple manufacturers: LenelS2, Brivo, Avigilon, Bosch, Milestone, Salient, Hanwha, DNA Fusion, Aiphone Ability to lead small jobs or guide junior techs Why Join Us You'll work with a team that values honesty, craftsmanship, and execution.
