Experience with Fiber Terminating & Splicing (Various Locations) Shift is M-F, Days / 9 am start Running, splicing and terminating Fiber Optic Cable and cat5e, cat6a cabling on keystones jacks Estimated Length of Job is 1-3 months+ English required As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, termination, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, with a primary focus on fiber optics and cat5e, cat6a cabling on keystones jacks . You will work alongside other skilled technicians and project managers to ensure the successful completion of client installations and upgrades, ensuring the highest quality of service and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Fiber Installation & Termination:

Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables and connectors for commercial clients.

Cable Management:

Route and secure fiber and copper cabling in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.

System Testing & Troubleshooting:

Perform testing on fiber optic systems to ensure quality, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve fiber-related issues when necessary.

Site Preparation:

Prepare work areas by ensuring proper materials, tools, and equipment are available for installation.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers and team members to plan and execute installations efficiently and on schedule.

Client Interaction:

Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients at all times.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed installation records, including wiring diagrams and test results, to ensure accurate project documentation.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Low Voltage/Communications/Fiber Technician with at least [3] years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and termination.

Core Tasks:

o Installing physical infrastructure like server racks, cabinets, and ladder racks. o Basic patch cable management and keeping macro-environments clean. o Terminating cat5e, cat6a cabling on keystones jacks o Terminating Cat5 / Cat6 and high-density MPO/MTP fiber optic connectors. Experience with fiber optic systems. Familiarity with low voltage systems such as security cameras, alarms, data cabling, and audio/video systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable). Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and work in a variety of physical environments (e.g., commercial, industrial, outdoor sites).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in residential, commercial, industrial, or large-scale installations. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in fiber optic installation.
