Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking experienced Lead Low Voltage Technicians for a direct hire position to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of support structures as well as security/access control equipment. The ideal candidate must possess the following: Technicians MUST have experience working with various cables that include, but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi-mode fiber optic cables.

Cable installation includes:

pulling, placement, terminating, testing, and labeling. IDF/MDF, rack install, fiber termination and testing experience a plus. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment. Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders. Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness. Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work. Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.

Basic scope of work includes:

Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools. Accept responsibility of outcome of work performed. Must understand customer service. Clear understanding of job safety requirements. Be able to read and understand job floor plan. Should be familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing. Should be able to pull all types of low voltage cable. Should understand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling. Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize projects and service jobs. Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations. Capable of working in Data Centers. Shall be able to work on analog, DSL and be able to extend T1 lines. Troubleshooting of copper and fiber cables Work on analog lines and extend T1 connections Possess skills to layout MDF and IDF closets Direct/supervise others to perform tasks Decommission fiber trunks and jumpers Troubleshoot fiber circuits (Versiv

OLTS, OTDR
