Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Entry-Level Fiber Installer and kickstart your career in telecommunications infrastructure! In this energetic role, you'll be at the forefront of deploying cutting-edge fiber optic networks, ensuring seamless connectivity for residential and commercial customers. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in network installation, fiber splicing, and telecommunications technology while working outdoors and in varied environments. No previous experience is required—just a passion for technology, a willingness to learn, and a drive to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of fiber optic cables, telecommunications network cables, and related equipment at residential and commercial sites. Use hand tools such as wire strippers, wire crimpers, power tools, and equipment testing devices to complete installations accurately. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, materials, and team members to job sites. Perform fiber splicing and cable termination tasks following industry standards to ensure optimal network performance. Set up and install telecommunication devices including routers, Ethernet connections, telephony systems, satellite dishes, and other customer premises equipment. Conduct field service activities such as troubleshooting network issues, testing equipment with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools, and ensuring quality standards are met. Follow safety protocols during outdoor work using ladders and other climbing equipment while maintaining awareness of electrical hazards and outdoor conditions. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about installation processes and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Qualifications Basic knowledge of computer networking concepts such as Ethernet and telecommunications systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Experience with network installation or working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with hand tools including wire strippers, wire crimpers, power tools, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters. Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Comfortable operating a company vehicle following all safety regulations; valid driver's license required. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward assisting clients during installations.
