Job Description
Tekk Force is hiring experienced Level II, Level III, and Lead Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technicians for an exciting data center project in Pecos, TX! This is a great opportunity for experienced technicians looking to work on a large-scale, fast-paced data center installation and put their structured cabling skills to work. What You'll Be Doing Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling Install J-hooks, ladder racks, cable tray, data racks, and patch panels Build out and work within MDF/IDF and data center environments Terminate workstation outlets, patch panels, and voice/data jacks Test installed cabling using Fluke and other testing equipment Troubleshoot and document cable installations Read and interpret prints, drawings, and cable pathways Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations Lead technicians may oversee crews, coordinate daily work, and ensure installations meet project standards What We're Looking For 2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience Hands-on experience installing J-hooks, ladder racks, and cable tray Strong knowledge of pulling, dressing, labeling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 Experience working in MDF/IDF environments Familiarity with Leviton, Ortronics, Panduit, Systimax, or similar systems Ability to use a 4-pair tester and Fluke testing equipment Ability to read blueprints and work independently Fiber optic cabling and termination experience is a major plus BICSI standards knowledge is preferred Lead-level candidates should have experience leading crews of 3+ technicians Technician Requirements Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Basic low-voltage hand tools Professional references to verify work experience Ability to meet applicable project onboarding and screening requirements Why Join This Project?
