Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Alarm, Access Control & CCTV Technician to join our team. Duties Install, configure, and test fire alarm systems, access control devices, and CCTV surveillance equipment in accordance with electrical blueprints and schematics. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on low-voltage electrical wiring, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and other security hardware. Troubleshoot equipment issues using hand tools, power tools, and technical troubleshooting support to identify faults in security systems and resolve them efficiently. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate system design modifications or upgrades aligned with client requirements. Integrate door security systems with access control platforms, ensuring seamless operation and remote access capabilities via software solutions. Perform cabling tasks including low-voltage electrical wiring and network cabling to establish reliable connections for surveillance cameras and alarm systems. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, offering technical support, and ensuring client satisfaction during installation or repair visits. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in field service operations for security systems. Proficiency in computer hardware setup, network configuration, and understanding of computer networking principles relevant to surveillance and alarm systems. Expertise in electrical security system installation, low-voltage electrical wiring, schematics reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Knowledge of fire alarm system standards (such as NEC compliance) along with experience working with sensors, alarms, CCTV cameras, surveillance equipment, and remote access software. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues related to low-voltage electrical systems and perform repairs using hand tools and power tools efficiently. Familiarity with system design concepts including integrating alarm & access control systems into existing infrastructure for enhanced physical security. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to technical troubleshooting support and client communication.
