This is a hands-on position performing low voltage and structured cabling installations at a commercial job site. This project is expected to continue for at least the next month, with the potential for additional work. Candidates who are a good fit may have the opportunity to continue working with our company on future projects. Our company is based in Brandon, Mississippi , but the majority of our work involves projects throughout Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, and other areas as needed. Continued employment after the current Texas project would require regular out-of-town travel and overnight stays. The ideal candidate has experience with low voltage cabling or a related trade, works well as part of a crew, follows instructions, and takes pride in completing clean, professional installations. Duties Install, pull, route, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling Install Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optic, and other structured cabling as required by the project Install cable pathways, J-hooks, supports, racks, and related hardware Perform cable terminations and assist with testing and troubleshooting Read and follow project plans, diagrams, and installation instructions Maintain proper cable management and organization Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts safely Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow company procedures, job-site requirements, and safety standards Work with crew leads and other installers to complete projects accurately and on schedule Perform other low voltage installation duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Previous low voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, or electrical experience preferred Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and RJ45 termination preferred Fiber optic cabling experience is a plus Ability to use common hand and power tools Ability to follow plans, instructions, and job specifications Strong attention to detail and quality of work Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a crew Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment and perform physical work throughout the day Comfortable working on ladders and lifts Valid driver's license Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to work varying schedules based on project requirements Current Project & Travel This position is being hired specifically for our current project in Texas . The project is expected to continue for at least the next month. There may be an opportunity for continued employment after this project is completed. Future projects are located throughout multiple states (including Texas) and require extensive travel, including overnight and multi-day stays.
