Cable Technician (OSP & ISP) -

Contract /Full-Time Schedule:
Extended hours (10-12 hour days, up to 6 days/week as needed) Position Overview We are seeking Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support large-scale data center infrastructure builds . This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in telecommunications and structured cabling. Technicians will work alongside experienced team leads to install and build out critical cabling systems, learning industry-standard skills in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, warehouse work, landscaping, or other hands-on labor roles are highly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Pull and route copper and fiber optic cables within data center environments Install cable trays, racks, and pathway systems (J-hooks, D-rings, trapeze, etc.) Assist with server rack construction and infrastructure setup Perform pre-termination work: labeling, dressing, organizing, and measuring cables Learn and assist with cable termination and punch-down procedures Drop cable through walls using fish tape or similar tools Install sleeves, perform fire-stopping procedures, and support penetrations Install grounding systems for racks and equipment Read and follow blueprints and technical layouts Complete required documentation (timesheets, work orders, material tracking, etc.) Follow all safety, quality, and company standards Required Qualifications Basic experience or exposure to telecommunications, cabling, construction, warehouse, or general labor Ability to use hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, etc.) Willingness to learn cable installation, fiber handling, and termination Ability to work from blueprints or construction plans Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality Team-oriented mindset and flexibility with schedule Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills Experience with Cat5, Cat6, or low-voltage cabling Cable pulling or cable technician experience Knowledge of outside plant (OSP) or inside plant (ISP) environments Data center or structured cabling experience Work Environment & Expectations Physically active role (lifting, climbing ladders, working overhead) Indoor data center and construction environments Extended work hours may be required to meet project deadlines Why Join Us?
