Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Cable Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential cable and broadband services in the field. Daily assignments include completing customer installations, resolving service issues, and ensuring reliable network performance while following company procedures and safety guidelines. Technicians work directly at customer locations and are expected to represent Signal Cable Inc. professionally by delivering quality workmanship, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe work environment. This is a full-time W-2 position offering consistent work, weekly opportunities, and long-term career growth within the telecommunications industry. Key Responsibilities Install, activate, and service residential cable and broadband equipment at customer locations. Diagnose connectivity issues and perform repairs to restore reliable service. Complete assigned installations and service calls while meeting company quality and performance expectations. Accurately document completed work, materials used, and required job information. Follow company procedures, customer requirements, and established work standards on every assignment. Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Handle company tools, equipment, and materials responsibly, keeping them in good working condition. Protect customer property and existing utility infrastructure while performing field work. Report safety concerns, property damage, or unexpected field conditions promptly. Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and team members regarding job status and scheduling updates. Provide professional, courteous customer service during every installation and service visit. Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use common hand and power tools safely. Previous experience in cable installation, telecommunications, broadband services, or another hands-on field is a plus, but not required. Ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks accurately. Dependable, punctual, and able to manage daily field assignments effectively. Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with supervisors and team members. Additional Requirements Maintain a neat, professional appearance Possess a valid driver's license Have access to a truck, van, or SUV suitable for field work Successfully pass a background check and drug screening Maintain and use the required tool set for the position
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
