In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of residential telecommunications systems, including cable, internet, satellite dishes, and low voltage wiring. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for our clients while providing exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a wide range of hand and power tools, and develop specialized skills in fiber splicing, network installation, and equipment testing. Responsibilities Install and configure residential telecommunications equipment including cable TV, internet modems, routers (such as Cisco), satellite dishes, and low voltage wiring systems. Use ladders, hand tools, power tools, wire crimpers, wire strippers, and ohmmeters to perform precise installations and repairs. Perform fiber splicing and telecommunications network cable installation to ensure high-quality signal transmission. Test installed equipment with specialized testing devices to verify proper operation and troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate company vehicles safely to reach customer locations while adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct outdoor work efficiently while managing electrical work tasks related to low voltage systems and telephony setups. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during each installation or service call. Follow all safety guidelines related to electrical work, ladder use, outdoor environments, and equipment handling to maintain a safe work zone at all times. Document all work performed accurately in service reports and logs for quality assurance and future reference. Experience Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or in a similar field service role involving cable installation or network setup. Hands-on experience with network installation including Ethernet wiring, Cisco routers configuration, fiber splicing, and telecommunication cabling. Familiarity with satellite dish installation procedures and low voltage electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, power tools, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters. Demonstrated ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining safety standards on outdoor job sites. Prior customer service experience is highly valued for ensuring positive interactions with clients during installations or repairs. Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions while managing physical tasks such as ladder use and electrical wiring.
