Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic - Night Shift Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family of companies, is looking to hire energetic, adventurous, and hard-working individuals like you to join our team. We currently have an opening for a Mechanic in Juneau, Alaska. This is a full-time position offering family-friendly benefits, a competitive pay package, professional growth opportunities, and ample overtime. The night shift hours are 3:00pm to 3:00am Monday through Thursday and include a $3.00/hr. shift differential. What You Will Be Doing Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, ie: tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc. Assist with major component swaps like hydraulic pumps, engines and transmissions. Must be able to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card). Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet, and/or humid conditions and occasionally works in high, precarious places.
