Mechanic III Fairbanks, AK | Full-Time | Permanent Keep Alaska Moving with Colville Transport Colville, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic III to join our Fairbanks shop. If you are a skilled diesel or heavy equipment mechanic who takes pride in quality work and wants a stable, non-rotational position, we want to hear from you. What You Will Do Perform advanced diagnostics and major repairs on light- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment Complete preventative maintenance and DOT annual inspections Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and steering systems Rebuild engines, transmissions, and differentials Utilize diagnostic software such as Cat ET, Cummins Insight, Davies, and ESA Assist with fabrication and welding as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations. What You Bring 5+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to work extended hours when needed Ability to perform physically demanding work Preferred Qualifications Commercial Driver's License (CDL) ASE Certifications or diesel technology training Experience with Class 8 trucks and mixed fleets Pre-Employment Requirements Background check Pre-employment drug test Driving record review Pre-employment physical examination Why Colville Permanent Fairbanks-based position Work with a well-maintained fleet Be part of a company that values safety, teamwork, and craftsmanship Colville is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination of any kind.
