Diesel Mechanic Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. is hiring a full-time Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair company trucks, forklifts, and other fleet equipment. We are looking for someone with mechanical experience who can troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines. Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and related components. Perform routine maintenance on trucks, forklifts, and other equipment. Diagnose and repair forklift hydraulic systems. Respond to equipment breakdowns and make repairs as needed. Complete wheel balancing, alignments, and other mechanical repairs. Perform basic welding as needed. Maintain service records and assist with parts inventory. Use computer systems for diagnostics, records, and other job-related tasks. Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures. What We're Looking For Previous diesel or automotive mechanical experience. Some welding experience required. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of diesel and gas engines, brakes, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs. Must have personal hand tools up to ½-inch drive ; larger tools will be provided. Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Schedule & Training Must be available to work overtime as needed. Manufacturer training on trucks and lifts will be provided. Pay based on knowledge and experience. Full-Time | Nonexempt Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
