NOW HIRING - LEAD DIESEL TECHNICIAN / SHOP SUPERVISOR
Birmingham, AL Starting Pay:
$1,500/Week + Production Incentives Stewart's Heavy Duty LLC is looking for a leader to help oversee our Birmingham operation and take ownership of maintaining a busy fleet of refuse trucks. We are not looking for someone who simply wants to show up, turn wrenches, and go home. We need someone who takes responsibility, pride, and ownership in their work and understands that keeping a fleet running requires communication, organization, follow-through, and leadership.
What We're Looking For:
Strong heavy-duty diesel repair and diagnostic experience Experience with refuse trucks, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, and preventive maintenance preferred Ability to lead technicians and keep work moving Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to prioritize breakdowns, DVIR repairs, PMs, and scheduled work Good communication with technicians, drivers, dispatch, and management Keeps work orders accurate and updated Holds themselves and the team accountable for quality and productivity Takes pride in keeping equipment safe, dependable, and on the road Willing to step up when there is a problem instead of waiting for someone else to handle it This Position Is a Good Fit for
Someone Who:
Takes ownership of the fleet they are responsible for. If a truck is down, you want to know why. If a repair is waiting on parts, you follow up. If something is being overlooked, you address it. You lead from the front and expect quality work from yourself and the technicians around you.
Compensation:
$1,500 per week starting salary + production incentive There is room to grow with the company for the right person who can demonstrate leadership, reliability, technical ability, and the ability to manage a fleet maintenance operation. If you're an experienced heavy-duty diesel technician ready to move into a leadership role—or you're already leading a shop and looking for an opportunity where your performance matters—we'd like to talk.
