S and M Transportation is a transportation and logistics company that has been serving the Gulf Coast for over 30 years. We are looking for a full-time, experienced DOT certified Diesel Mechanic/Technician for our Saraland, AL operation. Are you trust worthy and reliable? Do you have good communication skills? Do you function well in a team environment? If your answer is yes to these questions, we are looking for you! In general, candidate should be able to diagnose and repair most mechanical and electrical problems, as well as identifying root cause problems and repairing those problems.

Some other specific responsibilities include:

Maintain a clean, safe work area Manage preventive maintenance program Perform vehicle maintenance Perform standard component inspections and repairs Perform annual DOT inspections Order parts and maintain inventory Maintain records in maintenance program Work with dispatch and drivers to ensure fleet is safe and operationally sound We offer a competitive pay package with good benefits.
