Mobile Diesel Mechanic Best Rate Fleet Services Best Rate Fleet Services is hiring an experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to perform roadside and on-site repairs for commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. We are looking for a dependable technician who can diagnose problems accurately, complete quality repairs, and represent our company professionally. This position requires independent fieldwork in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is confident working without constant supervision and understands the urgency of getting commercial drivers safely back on the road. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks Perform roadside and on-site service calls Repair brakes, air systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems Complete preventive maintenance and DOT-related repairs Diagnose check-engine lights and other mechanical issues Perform trailer repairs, including brakes, lighting, air lines, doors, and suspension components Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and job progress to dispatch Take clear before-and-after photographs of completed work Maintain accurate service records and documentation Keep the assigned service vehicle, tools, and equipment organized Follow all company safety procedures, especially when working roadside Provide professional and respectful customer service Qualifications Previous diesel truck or heavy-equipment repair experience Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic abilities Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Ability to safely operate a company service vehicle Must have or be willing to obtain necessary hand tools Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions Able to lift heavy parts, climb, bend, kneel, and work underneath vehicles Must be dependable, responsive, and able to communicate clearly Commercial driver's license and inspection certifications are helpful but not required Schedule This position may include daytime, evening, weekend, and on-call work. Schedule availability and service coverage will be discussed during the interview. Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, availability, and demonstrated ability.
