Heavy Truck / Bus Technician Hourly Straight Time $28-$38 (varies by experience)+ Performance Bonus 40-45 Hours Per Week Including Great Benefits Package Monday - Friday / Day Shift with Flexible Hours / Full Time Canyon State Bus Sales (AZ's Only Blue Bird Bus Dealer) Work for a successful local business that has been open since 2004 in one of the most stable industries in the market. Canyon State Bus Sales offers a professional atmosphere, competitive diesel mechanic wages, M-F flexible day shift hours, tenured/experienced leadership, and full benefits. Technician positions focus on building technical skills maintaining and inspecting school buses featuring Cummins, Ford, Allision, Bendix, and other heavy truck industry leading components. There are opportunities to gain exposure to the latest Electric Vehicle technology on buses going in service now. Enjoy a meaningful career maintaining the vehicles delivering kids to school every day and keeping them safe. Compensation $28-$38 per hour with regular increases based on experience, plus proficiency bonus up to $2 per hour. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and models of buses Must maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications Positive and productive attitude Ability to work independently Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical Multiplex knowledge a plus High level of proficiency in medium diesel and light duty engine troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair Cummins Experience Preferred Allison experience preferred Experience in heavy duty air brake system and component troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair Hydraulic light duty experience a plus Experience in air and spring suspension troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair Communicate well with others (Verbal and Written) Ability to adapt to a heavy workflow Own appropriate tool set for this position
