Diesel Mechanic Just In Time Cargo Inc - 4.0 Costa Mesa, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $1,000 - $1,400 a week 19 hours ago Qualifications Equipment repair Environmental compliance DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Hydraulics Mechanical knowledge Auto body repair Diesel engine repair Full Job Description Just in Time Cargo is searching for full-time Trailer Shop Mechanic Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical and ABS brake systems is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of bodywork and welding MIG, TIG, Stick and Aluminum is also desired .
Essential Job Functions:
Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment to include foundation brakes, air systems, ABS, suspensions, sliders, landing gear, roll up doors, electrical, lights, interior and exterior body repairs. Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance (including: inspect and perform work in, on or under parts of trailers). Ability to achieve objectives under a tight daily schedule. Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation Complete computer based work orders with accurate repair descriptions of the work performed and insure parts used are charged to the work order. Basic welding skills such as Oxy/Acetylene, ARC Apply knowledge and work in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other rules and regulations as required Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance (including: inspect and perform work in, on or under parts of trailers). Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance. Apply knowledge and work in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other rules and regulations as required. Participate in company and/or vendor training programs Computer Diagnostic Software Electrical Skill Transmission, engine installations Roadcall Services 90-day bit, PM service and annual inspection service A/C system services Overhead Ajustment 5th wheel repair/replacement Transmission, engine installments Desired Previous Job Experience Technical training in mechanics, welding, body and door repair. 2 years previous trailer repair and maintenance experience.
