Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our Escondido shop supporting fire apparatus, emergency vehicles, and other heavy-duty equipment. This is primarily a shop-based position for an experienced technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. The right candidate will have the opportunity to advance into mobile/field service work based on experience, performance, and demonstrated ability to work independently. Fire apparatus experience is not required. We are looking for a strong diesel technician with the mechanical and diagnostic foundation to learn the industry.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and heavy-duty equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, drivetrain, and related systems Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks Diagnose problems independently and determine appropriate repairs Perform or assist with fire apparatus, pump, and foam-system service as training and experience progress Accurately document repairs using clear problem-cause-fix descriptions Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and status with management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Develop the skills necessary for future independent field/mobile service assignments Required Qualifications 5+ years of diesel/heavy-duty mechanic experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge Ability to perform repairs with limited supervision Valid California driver's license Ability to lift, climb, and perform the physical requirements of the position Must provide your own standard professional mechanic's hand tools and be willing to add tools as needed for the position Preferred — But Not Required Heavy-duty fleet or municipal vehicle experience Fire apparatus or emergency vehicle experience Fire pump or foam-system experience Advanced electrical diagnostic experience EVT, ASE, or fire mechanic certifications Class A or B driver's license Experienced diesel mechanics without fire apparatus experience are encouraged to apply.
