Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment by replacing parts, welding, assembling components, and performing preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Service and repair farm machinery and industrial equipment to ensure longevity and reliable operation in demanding environments. Conduct tire services including mounting, balancing, repairs, and replacements; perform alignment checks to optimize vehicle handling. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; interpret schematics for complex electrical or mechanical systems; follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for repairs. Support heavy lifting operations safely by utilizing appropriate lifting techniques and equipment; perform welding and soldering tasks as needed for repairs or fabrication projects. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment servicing environment with a strong background in construction machinery maintenance. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and assembly of mechanical parts. Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift, tractor-trailer maintenance, and other heavy equipment operation. Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics including electrical systems troubleshooting and transmission repairs. Skilled in reading schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems; adept at using diagnostic software tools. Experience performing brake repairs, air brake systems maintenance, suspension work, HVAC servicing, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety protocols; excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members about repair needs.
