A family-owned diesel repair shop in Middletown CA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service and repair automobiles trucks buses and heavy-duty equipment at customer sites. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automobiles trucks buses diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment at customer sites. Perform preventive and routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical electrical drivetrain hydraulic and air brake issues using diagnostic tools and software. Inspect completed repairs for quality safety and proper operation before returning equipment to customers. Complete required repair documentation and ensure work meets applicable safety standards. Work independently manage field assignments efficiently and travel between customer locations.
Requirements Required Proven hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles diesel equipment or heavy-duty equipment. Strong mechanical electrical hydraulic drivetrain and air brake troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with automotive and diesel diagnostic tools and software. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile field-service environment. Must provide own mechanic tools. Valid driver's license. Able to perform physical repairs bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Availability for overtime and Saturday work as needed. Preferred 5+ years of automotive mechanic experience. High school diploma or equivalent.#SJ1
