Mobile Diesel Technician/Mechanic Garcias Mobile Service Riverside, CA Job Details Full-time From $170 a day 13 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Overview Are you a skilled and motivated Mobile Diesel Technician/Mechanic ready to take on a dynamic role working with heavy-duty vehicles and equipment? In this energetic position, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered machinery and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that fleet operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Monday- Friday (sometimes Saturdays) Pay is based on experience. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive electrical knowledge. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and power tools to ensure optimal equipment performance. Execute tire services, alignments, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, and suspension work to maintain safety standards. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for lifting and moving heavy components safely during repairs or assembly tasks. Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics meticulously to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems repair issues. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, vehicle systems, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical repairs. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex machinery repairs. Experience working with heavy trucks, industrial equipment, farm machinery, or similar machinery is highly desirable. Certifications in diesel engine repair, air brake systems, or heavy truck repair are advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
