$35.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on experience Job Description Bali Express Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team at our Otay Mesa/San Diego yard. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on mechanic with experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and tractor equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy-duty diesel trucks and tractors Perform preventive maintenance and routine vehicle inspections Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical, electronic, brake, cooling, and related vehicle systems Use electronic/computerized diagnostic tools to identify vehicle faults Identify the root cause of mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and with attention to cost and vehicle downtime Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns Document repairs, parts used, maintenance performed, and vehicle condition Communicate mechanical findings and repair needs clearly to management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow company safety procedures and applicable workplace safety requirements Qualifications Previous professional experience in diesel or heavy-duty truck repair Strong knowledge of diesel mechanical systems Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks/tractors Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems Experience using electronic/computerized diagnostic equipment Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform repairs with limited supervision Ability to read and understand technical and diagnostic information Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Valid driver's license Ability to communicate and complete basic maintenance/diagnostic documentation in English Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience Experience working with Class 8 tractors Experience with DOT/CHP vehicle inspections and DVIR-related repairs Experience with air brake systems Experience with diesel emissions/aftertreatment systems ASE or other diesel/heavy-duty certifications CDL Class A or B is a plus, but not required

Compensation:

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour, DOE Starting rate will be determined based on relevant heavy-duty diesel experience, diagnostic capabilities, certifications, and demonstrated technical skills.
