A nationwide truck leasing provider in South San Francisco, CA is hiring an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with minimal supervision. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, and other major components. Conduct road tests and use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues. Use computerized maintenance systems to research, document, and complete repairs. Mentor fellow technicians and develop technical skills through ongoing training. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure repairs meet DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

Requirements Required:

6+ years of hands-on truck and tractor-trailer maintenance experience. Experience using welding equipment, diagnostic tools, and standard hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT driver qualification requirements, including physical examinations and driving record checks. Strong mechanical troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and basic computer skills. Ability to work independently, collaborate with other technicians, and travel locally as needed. Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environments, varying weather conditions, and safely at heights. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 100 lbs, and push or pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs. Must pass background and drug screenings and meet applicable DOT requirements.

Preferred:

High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair. Specialized training and experience diagnosing engines, transmissions, differentials, and other major components. OEM training, ASE certification, and

certifications. Commercial Driver's License CDL #NJ1
