POSITION SUMMARY
The service technician is responsible for performing mechanical service repair orders (ROs) on customer vehicles. Performs diagnostics on vehicles as they come in. Works with the Service Advisor to recommend repairs and services. Performs repairs and services within normal standard repair times. Performs high quality work that is fixed correctly the first time with minimal errors and comebacks. Technician is expected to stay current on manufacturer training and certifications.Types of repair orders include:
Preventative maintenance (inspections, oil and fluid changes, batteries, brakes, chassis lubrication, and other general maintenance) Diagnostics (check engine light, low power, leaks, electrical, etc.) Engine repairs Exhaust / aftertreatment repairs All other mechanical repairs to truck powertrain and chassis Position supported by very knowledgeable and experienced management team, experienced technicians available to assist, and extensive manufacturer provided training. Training and certification provided by company available for Cummins, Allison, Hino, and Isuzu. Pay raises are awarded upon completion of each OEM certification.REQUIREMENTS
Diesel engine or similar mechanical experience- prefer 4+ years' experience Possess tools to adequately perform maintenance and basic repairs to vehicles
- shop will provide manufacturer-specific tools and diagnostic machines Able to work with computers and trained in diagnostic skills Understanding of modern diesel exhaust and after treatment systems (DEF, DPF, SCR, etc.
