Job Description

Overview:
Dale Trucking is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with strong expertise in CAT (Catipillar) engines to manage the maintenance and repair of our current fleet. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment road-ready, safe, and running efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on CAT engines in semi trucks Oversee ongoing maintenance for a fleet of 5 trucks and approximately 15 trailers Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Repair and service customer and subcontractor trucks and trailers as needed Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair solutions Maintain accurate service and maintenance records Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
Qualifications:
Extensive experience working with CAT engines (required) Proven background as a diesel mechanic for semi trucks and trailers Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience servicing customer- or subcontractor-owned equipment is a plus Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required
